TELECOMMUNICATIONS: WHAT DO I DO IF I AM HAVING A VOICE OR DATA SERVICE ISSUE?

15 December 2009 336 views No Comment

Q.) WHAT DO I DO IF I AM HAVING A VOICE OR DATA SERVICE ISSUE?

If you are experiencing a service affecting issue, immediately contact your telecom or data provider directly.  Usually you can find the carrier’s toll free number on a monthly bill or their website.  Some carriers also offer online reporting of service issues so check out your carriers website to findout if this option is available to you.  When you contact your telecom or data provider they will open up a “trouble ticket.”  You should make certain to record your trouble ticket number as well as the representative with whom you spoke for future reference.  When speaking with the rep make sure to provide a contact person and a working phone number for any call backs and to receive updates.  After you have reported the service issue to your carrier and obtained a trouble ticket number you can then contact any other vendors or agents who should be made aware of the situation.
