thanks TroyScott! Yes, most every business will find some part of social media marketing worthwhile and finding that niche whether it is through articles or a particular social media site will be the biggest challenge they face. I find that some companies have a huge facebook following while others can't seem to get any action that way. I think mostly social media is all what you make of it! thanks for your input it is greatly appreciated!

I wanted to briefly comment on this article. I was torn on the same above issue of which platform route to take. I originally opted for the website only route. I just am starting to dip into the social media / internet marketing side of the net (I am a slow learner ... I know) because I want to grow my business. But I have to saw I've seen a substantial increase in just the one of the outlet I have implemented so far. I always thought of "blogging" to be just a friend to friend communication that required a lot of time, which I could be using towards my goals. I am now convinced that it can truly increase traffic for my business in several ways.

I would recommend investing the time in pursuing both options, as we all need the extra word of mouth! I now also know and agree that using both platforms is a valuable SEO Optimizing solution. Using Social Media entails several cost effective aspects, which makes it a great resource for a small business owners like myself. I look forward to more information and details on social media marketing that you can educate us on. Thanks!
